Tony Adams

Despite agreeing that he had to go, in fact I'm surprised he was even appointed in the first place, I do feel sorry for him after his sacking. Peter Storie has always struck me as quite an honest and upfront type of guy and only last week he was telling us that Tony's job was safe. Yet 24 hours after a close defeat to the 2nd best team, on league standing, in the country he's on his way.

I know we expect that from modern chairmen/directors/whatever, but Storie is one that I wouldn't have.

Mike Parry had an interesting slant on Tony Adams today, although the bloke generally speaks complete shite, his point was perfectly right.

As we all know Tony is a recovering alcoholic and one thing that they are taught is to not lose their temper, so they remain in control of their emotions. How can a football manager not lose his temper at times and give players a kick up the arse?

Maybe that is why Tony will always be more suited to the peace making assistants role or some kind of coaching!
