why oh why did the bbc mention mr beckham every 10 min last night??
yes the guy is on 99 caps, but capello feels he isnt in the right condition to play for england as he hasnt played for 2 and hal;f months. I agree.
Capello is building a side for 2 years time, so needs to be working with players who he will use in the world cup - not beckham

Yes he has done well for england in his career but get over him, let him go. England can move forward without someone who is playing pub football.
The media circus that surrounds him is damaging for the team and only people good enough should get 100 caps, not because of media or sentimental reasons.
It was his decision to play in the MLS and it has cost him.

The qualifier that he deliberately got himself booked in, to serve a ban against a lesser opponent, springs to my mind. That would have made Croatia number 100 and we wouldn't need to talk about it!
