Portugal yesterday looked as though they'll be a real threat and the Czechs proved they won't be despite a jammy win over Switzerland.

Today, Austria take on Croatia and Germany take on Poland.

You'd fancy Germany and Croatia to put themselves in pole position to go through today.

I was driving my son back to London yesterday afternoon, so I listened to the Croatia game on Five Live and they had Steve McClaren as their expert summariser!

What a joke and an insult to English fans in my opinion , his expert opinions mean we're not even there

Haha, if you want expert drivel, how about Mark Lawrenson telling Benitez to drop zonal marking.

Because his managerial career was so successful with a watertight defence.

Anyway, Croatia got lucky yesterday - very poor performance from them and hanging on at the end. Germany looked excellent going forward and you can see they'll be a force.

I see there's a lot of talk about Podolski not celebrating his goals today and rightly so. He's chosen to be German so he should show his emotion and wear his colours!
